Ask HN: Are Product Hunt upvotes/comments often delayed or filtered?
Hey all, We launched our macOS app today on Product Hunt - it’s called Wallper, a lightweight tool for setting 4K animated video wallpapers.

We posted it in relevant communities (like Mac-related subreddits and Discord servers) and got a lot of people saying “just upvoted!” or “left a comment!” - but on Product Hunt it’s like none of it registers. Our launch barely moves.
I’ve read before that PH filters out certain votes (like those from direct links or low-trust accounts), but this feels… off. Like even organic engagement doesn’t count?
Has anyone else run into this? Would love to hear from other SaaS folks - is this just how launches go now, or are we doing something wrong?
